PCS Approach: Interactive
Summary:If all of the same information was given, do you have the same picture? By changing our approach to an assessment we change the picture we form of a participant. We will cover the same areas of assessment… but see things differently.
Traditionally WIC focused on comparing the habits of participants to recommendations from sources like the CDC, AAP, and other authorities about health. Our new approach to assessment focuses on the needs and interests of the participant, and we allow them to more fully explain themselves to get a better picture of their life.
